Psych-loving, Eigg-dwelling far-out entertainer Johnny Lynch (aka Pictish Trail) has way more up his glittery sleeves than witty anecdotes and beautiful melodies.
His latest record, Future Echoes, finds the Scottish troubadour at his technicolour best, weaving pop confections, prog voyages and indie interludes around his homespun folk.
Its endless enthusiasm and ingenious ideas all spill over into his live show, bringing light and laughs wherever he takes it.
With that in mind, we were tickled pink to have him headline our recent Independent Venue Week gig at the Sebright Arms, London.
Accompanied by the ace Suse Bear from Tuff Love, he stole hearts and minds with his labyrinthine psychedelic world.
