PRS for Music devised the Music Makeover campaign for fashion retailers to showcase and raise awareness of how good music can impact businesses.
The quality of the sound system itself, the acoustics, music choice and volume all impact both customers’ and staff experience.
Paul Sims, head of marketing at PRS for Music, said: ‘We are excited to be relaunching our new Music Makeover competitions in 2016 and are especially pleased to announce the expansion into the retail and restaurant industries on top of pubs and salons.
‘Music has such a massive impact on businesses and has the ability to enhance a business’ brand and transform an environment. We are happy to be able to share our expertise and offer up quality products to benefit businesses around the UK.’
PRS for Music recently partnered with Retail Week to produce a guide which explores the opportunities for retailers to make music pay by tapping into brand-appropriate soundtracks that elicit the desired emotional response from customers.
